about me

Forever searching for a perfect balance of life in New York City with my partner Alejandro and our weenie dog Louie. I work in a wide variety of mediums, but ceramics has always had a gravitational pull to me. Whether it was sculpting or throwing on the wheel; they keep my hands busy most days and nights.

I have over ten years of experience with throwing pottery and 5 years in painting with oils, underglazes, and acrylics. Holding a bachelors in both Psychology and Sculpture have helped pave the way to my ever evolving portfolio. It allows myself the space and ability to change up my environment and art forms.

My Mission.

In my early 20’s I was sexually assaulted in Amsterdam by a man that held me in his attic for a duration of three days. I came out of that city, poisoned with guilt, twelve pounds thinner and looking for every excuse to leave back home to Nevada. From then on, I unraveled under numerous deaths and fallouts until I graduated college in the midst of a pandemic.

Years later and after hundreds of hours of therapy, I realized I’m gay and found my ever supportive husband to be and moved to the other side of the nation here in good old New York City.

Ultimately I realized through my trauma, anger, failed business and constant threads of dead end jobs: I am an artist. I am a person that deserves the space, and the ability to openly express my feelings on paper, canvas, clay, or whatever it will be for that day. All I know is that sometimes there are no words — only images to jot down.

My mission is to redefine my voice, and to accept the person I am, not whom I thought I’d be. I am a sweet kind hearted man, with a mind that questions others kindness; in which I hope to relinquish with time.

Reach out if you’re in the area or have any questions, I could always use some fresh air and coffee.
